The fastest way to grow exposure and followers is doing live streaming on multiple platforms simultaneously – let’s call it multistreaming. In this post, I will share my marketing hack through multistreaming and how I am applying this to my brands.
Why Live streaming?
Live streaming is a rapidly growing channel in marketing that produces the most compelling product reviews that touch on experiential, promotional, and engaging relationships through a genuine real-time connection between live streamers and their viewers. Also, any livestream content can be recorded and reproduced into highlight videos & photos, providing extra content for brands.
For example, a 1-hour live session can be recorded and reproduced into 10 Instagram posts.
Why Multistreaming?
Multistreaming, streaming on multiple platforms simultaneously, is the most efficient way to reach diverse audiences across multiple platforms while inputting the same amount of time streaming on a single platform.
It is crucial to maximizing exposures for the brand’s success, and we don’t know where your potential loyal clients will discover your brand on which platform. Each platform has its own unique characteristics and attracts different groups of audience, and doing multistreaming empowers streamers to reach more audience and discover the right fit.
Why 2 Separate Live Streaming Accounts?
When you want to grow followers on any social media platform, it is ideal to upload as many postings as possible over a long period of time, from twice per day (i.e. Instagram) to twice per week (i.e. YouTube). Content quality matters too, but consistency is the key targetting platforms’ algorithm to blow up your content.
When you want to grow your live stream channel, it’s very helpful to stream almost every day. Share your daily moments through live streaming. The audience can build a great connection to you when you become a part of their daily lives.
I created two separate live streaming accounts: Business Account (Piki) & Personal Account (Mirae). I will be posting different types of content, which will attract different audience groups.
Business Account | Piki
For the Piki account, I will be focusing on releasing high-quality corporate-type content, which requires strategic planning and execution. There will be clear objectives for each show, extra preparation, and costs. All live shows will be recorded and reproduced into highlight videos and photos for other social media platforms. As a result, I’m utilizing various content media – live, video, photo, text, blog – tailored for popular platforms.
- Live Stream: YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, AfreecaTV
- Video & Photo: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Tiktok
I will multistream Piki’s content on Tuesday & Saturday, and spend the rest of the week editing Piki content.
Personal Account | Mirae
Normally editing a show takes a longer time than doing a show. For this behind the scene content, I will be using a personal account to share my daily hustle.
As I’m launching two startups, I will be working many hours until we raise funds and hire people. I’m the only one working on the marketing and design now, and there is SO MUCH WORK for startups. Thus, on my personal account, I will be mainly live streaming #StudywithMe content, a quiet ASMR content of me working. I’ll be sharing the daily agenda for my startups and keep you posted about my startup execution. I can be your virtual study buddy and inspire you to work hard for your dreams.
After I launch my startups and hire assistance, I will start creating more Lifestyle content in Hawaii including Mukbang. Until then, my content here will be a little bit boring but soothing.
